Yesterday I stitched up three new dresses and a pair of leggings. I let Ara pick which dress she wanted to keep for herself and she went for the honeycomb print. That’s my girl.
This dress is my favorite for a couple of reasons. It slips on and off really easily. It looks great with skinny jeans or leggings underneath or a long sleeve tee on cold days. It’s also just perfect for a breezy dress in the summer. The last couple of years my girl has grown up but not out so I love it when a dress works as a tunic style with pants when it starts getting too short.
I also sewed up some solid gray Fancy Pants Leggings by Titchy Threads in an organic cotton jersey. I’m definitely ordering more of this fabric in other colors. The quality and feel of it is amazing. I ordered this one from fabric.com as well as the bird and honeycomb fabric but it looks like they are all sold out of all three!
I’ve written about the Fancy Pants Leggings before but I’ll say it again that I love this pattern. This is my third pair I’ve made and I’ll make many more in the future.
The dress pattern is a very altered version of a pattern by Too Sweets Patterns. I don’t see the pattern available for sale anymore but the Pockets are Best Dress looks pretty close to what I altered the original Best Bubble Dress to.
I think I’m doing pretty good for the Kids Clothes Week so far but I have a few more projects in mind.
